Makeup can be used to cover, OR to celebrate your Makeup can be used to cover, OR to celebrate your body! 

What do I mean by that?

I think that when it comes to body image, we can use makeup as a way to cover, hide, or alter the way we look. OR we can use makeup in a way that celebrates our bodies and natural beauty!

I think you can use as little, or as much makeup as you want and be able to use it in this way! 

Some days I wear little, or no makeup, and other times when I am getting dressed up I wear fake eyelashes and lots of eye makeup. 

It’s all about the intention behind it and knowing that you are beautiful with, or without it ❤️

Using makeup helps me feel feminine and is a form of art and self expression! I love trying new products or wearing some lip gloss to make my confidence shine!

But sis, you do not need makeup to be beautiful. You are worthy, lovely, and gorgeous just the way you are.

Day 1/3 of body gratitude 💗 In honor of Thanks Day 1/3 of body gratitude 💗

In honor of Thanksgiving coming up, I thought it would be fun and encouraging to do 3 days of body gratitude and encouragement to be thankful for your body!

One way we can show gratitude towards ourselves and our bodies is by honoring ourselves with the words we speak. 

I believe that the words we use have power, and we should be speaking life over ourselves and our bodies! 

Try standing in front of a mirror, or even just look down at yourself, and say the words OUT LOUD. I know it may feel weird or silly, but trust me, it is ✨POWERFUL✨

“My body is worthy.”
“My body is beautiful.”
“My body is enough.”
“My body is loved.”

Where are my people at? ❤️ I’ve been there Where are my people at? ❤️

I’ve been there too. 

I was stuck in the diet loop where I felt like I needed to control my body to make it look a certain way. I was insecure and struggled with my body image. 

One day, instead of going back on a diet, I looked in the mirror and thought to myself, “What if I just learned to love my body exactly how it is?” 

That right there changed everything. I realized that nutrition is a powerful tool. It can be used to control and change our bodies. Or it can be used as a way for us to honor ourselves through nourishment and eating foods that make us thrive.
