My name is Jessica Salinas. I am based out of Portland, Oregon, where I live with my husband and two dogs. I enjoy a good glass of wine with great company, time in the kitchen, and exploring the beautiful PNW.
My first Whole30 was back in 2016. I sort of accidentally stumbled upon the Whole30 book when I was looking for a new healthy cookbook. Back then, I had no idea how to eat healthy, and I was just looking for some inspiration and maybe learn a new cooking skill or two. When I started reading the Whole30 book, I was amazed by all the testimonials, and I was intrigued, so I decided to jump right into my first 30 days. I didn't know then the impact this program would have on me!
Since then, I have completed several rounds of the Whole30, and each time I learn more and more about myself. I have gained so many non-scale victories, including taming my sugar dragon and breaking up with the diet culture. I've learned that dairy and legumes don't agree so well with my digestion. And now in my Food Freedom, I live a paleo lifestyle.
That day finding the Whole30 book was the very start to my interest in nutrition and wellness. Along with becoming a Certified Whole30 Coach, I am also pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Holistic Nutrition at the American College of Healthcare Sciences.
My interest has turned into a passion for helping and educating others. My mission is to help you live your most nourished life.
