Hi there, I’m Jessica!
Welcome to Nourished with Jessica! I am a Holistic Nutritionist with a love for food. (Big surprise, right?!) Here on my blog, you will find healthy recipes that also taste delicious. I love to show people that even the Brussels Sprouts from your childhood nightmare can taste incredible! I also share health and wellness insights to help you live your most nourished life.
I live right outside of Portland, Oregon, with my Husband, Art, and our three dogs. We have a black lab, a terrier mix, and a pug. We like to call them the misfits because they are a mix-match of a pack.
Things that bring me joy include gardening, hiking, and reading. I also LOVE to cook. Food is one of my love languages, and I show my care for others through the kitchen. There’s nothing like sitting at a table with delicious food and people you love.
I fell in love with nutrition and found myself always reading or listening to podcasts about the subject. Once I started learning, I couldn’t believe how little I knew and how little we were taught. It was then that I knew I would make it my mission to help others learn how to make their bodies thrive through nutrition. I decided to go back to school and pursue my passion for nutrition. I did my studies at the American College of Healthcare Sciences, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Nutrition. Now I have a blog where I can help educate and share recipes, and I also help clients through nutrition coaching.
What I believe:
I believe foods in their whole, natural state are more nourishing for our bodies and should be prioritized over ultra-processed foods. We have grown so accustomed to foods that are so far from nature and ingredients made in a lab. Making something with our hands and connecting to our foods and where they came from is the missing piece from our modern world.
